The Center for Molecular Immunology (CIM) is an internationally renowned, comprehensive research institution and one of Cuba’s five leading biotechnology research centers. It specializes in fundamental research, development, and production of mammalian cell culture products that comply with cGMP standards. The center boasts pioneering, well-established expertise in the development of therapeutic cancer vaccines and antibody-based drugs, having identified and validated numerous novel drug targets—providing innovative strategies for advancing cancer treatment.
CIM is a strategic partner of Baitai, facilitating the introduction of Cuba’s cutting-edge basic research, clinical studies, and industrialization technologies into China through international scientific and technological collaboration. By thoroughly assimilating, integrating, and innovating these advanced approaches—supported by collaborative training and guidance from an externally hired team of experts—Baitai has strengthened its partnership with Cuba in key areas such as foundational research in molecular immunology, as well as applied research like joint development of antibody-based therapeutics, and industrialization efforts. This collaboration has already yielded significant, breakthrough achievements. Recognizing the remarkable success of this partnership, the "China-Cuba Center for Molecular Immunology" has been officially established at Biotech Pharma, under the joint auspices of China’s Ministry of Science and Technology and Cuba’s Ministry of Science, Technology, and Environment.
