On September 3, 2025, Díaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the country, made a special visit to BIOTECH PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD. with his delegation after attending events commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in China's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

The delegation visiting this time is large in size and high in rank. Members of the delegation include Emilio, a member of the Political Bureau of Cuba’s Communist Party Central Committee and Head of the International Relations Department; Bai Shide, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to China; Oscar, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment; Vicente, Minister of Energy and Mines; Mayra, Minister of Communications; Juana, Governor of the Central Bank of Cuba; and Meda, President of the Cuban Biomedical Group, among others.

Bai Xianhong, Chairman and General Manager of Biotech Pharma, extended a warm welcome to President Díaz-Canel and his delegation, providing a detailed overview of the company’s business operations and growth trajectory. He emphasized that Biotech Pharma places innovation at the core of its strategy, highlighting significant achievements in the research and application of monoclonal antibody therapies—therapies that have directly improved the lives of countless patients and contributed to public health and well-being. Additionally, he briefed the delegation on Beijing Oriental Biotech Pharma Technology Co., Ltd.’s remarkable accomplishments, as well as the progress and development of Anbotec Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

Chairman Díaz-Canel highly praised Biotech Pharma for its remarkable achievements. Upholding a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship, Biotech Pharma continues to drive technological advancements, with Nivolumab steadily expanding its therapeutic applications and the company’s product portfolio growing ever richer. He emphasized that Biotech Pharma should actively pursue international markets, as there is a pressing demand for high-quality pharmaceuticals in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
