November 2019 On the 19th, Gu Yanfeng, Deputy Director of the U.S. and Latin America Division in the Department of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Science and Technology, led a delegation to BIOTECH PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD for an inspection visit. Bai Xianhong, Chairman of BIOTECH PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD; David Curbelo, Vice Chairman; and He Lihua, Deputy General Manager, were there to welcome the group.

  At the research meeting, Chairman Bai Xianhong briefed the visiting leaders on Baitai's development progress, company products, and future growth plans, with a particular focus on developments since 2013. Since the establishment of the China-Cuba Molecular Immunology Center, the two countries have achieved significant collaborative successes in the biopharmaceutical field, along with outlining promising directions for future development. Director Gu Yanfeng widely acknowledged the center's remarkable achievements and assured that the Ministry of Science and Technology will continue to closely monitor and actively support Sino-Cuban biopharmaceutical cooperation projects as always.

    After the meeting, Director Gu Yanfeng and his delegation also toured Baitai’s production facilities and laboratories, gaining a deeper understanding of Baitai’s product manufacturing processes and operations.

It brings together universities, research institutes, and enterprises from China and Cuba, combining their respective strengths to foster substantive collaboration—from fundamental and applied research all the way to industrialization.
