In accordance with the requirements and spirit outlined in the "Notice on Conducting the 2018 Annual Report, Evaluation, and Assessment of Grassroots Party Organization Secretaries, Organizational Life Meetings, and Democratic Appraisals of Party Members," issued by the Organization Department of the Development Zone Working Committee and the Enterprise Party Committee, the BIOTECH PHARMACEUTICAL CO., LTD Party Branch convened its first organizational life meeting of 2019 at 12:30 p.m. on February 22, 2019, bringing together all party members and prospective入党积极分子. Yang Xuemei, Li Shuang, and Li Bing, instructors from the Party and Mass Work Guidance Team of Longsheng Industrial Park, attended the meeting and provided guidance.

This meeting was chaired by Comrade Sun Weihong, the secretary of the Party branch, and consisted of three main parts: the Party branch secretary's work report session, the organizational life meeting, and the democratic evaluation of party members session.

In the first part of the meeting, Comrade Sun Weihong, Secretary of the Party Branch, delivered a work report on behalf of the Biotech Pharma Party Branch to all party members. The report detailed the completion of the Biotech Pharma Party Branch’s Party-building initiatives in 2018, thoroughly analyzed existing challenges and shortcomings, and proposed effective measures for improvement. Additionally, it outlined the 2019 Party-building plan and schedule, with a particular focus on strengthening the Party-building brand, enhancing theoretical learning among party members, boosting their enthusiasm, reinforcing their sense of mission, and amplifying the voice of Party building—all aimed at driving forward Party activities and supporting the achievement of the company’s business objectives.

The second part of the meeting involved all party members conducting self-assessments and peer evaluations. Guided by the branch committee members, each Party member reflected on their participation in Party organizational activities, their commitment to firm ideals and beliefs, adherence to Party discipline, practice of the Party’s principles, transformation of work styles, fulfillment of Party duties, and demonstration of exemplary leadership—all while aligning with both Party standards and the requirements set forth by the Central Committee and higher-level organizations. Drawing from their actual job roles, members identified areas where they could improve, engaging in candid self-criticism. During the self-assessment session, the most frequently mentioned issue was that members felt their personal qualities and ability to serve as role models were still insufficient, particularly due to a perceived lack of ideological and political education. However, since adopting the "Study Strong Nation" app, members expressed that they now have the flexibility to study the Party’s guiding ideologies, policies, and developments of the nation and the Party anytime, anywhere—making learning more convenient than ever before. As one member put it, "Learning strengthens us," reflecting the collective sentiment among everyone.In the peer evaluation segment, participants openly shared their thoughts, courageously addressing challenges head-on. Through thoughtful analysis and constructive feedback, they offered well-reasoned suggestions aimed at fostering mutual understanding and collaboration. This open and honest exchange not only deepened trust and cooperation among colleagues but also reinforced the shared goal of advancing together. Overall, this Party life meeting provided a valuable opportunity for comprehensive self-reflection and meaningful dialogue, enabling every member to recognize their own shortcomings. Moving forward, these insights will inspire individuals to strive for greater improvement and achieve even more outstanding results in their future work, studies, and daily lives.

Part three of the meeting: All party members completed the democratic evaluation form for party members. Each member conducted an objective and serious self-assessment, as well as evaluations of their fellow party members, focusing on political awareness, discipline enforcement, moral character, and overall effectiveness.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Comrade Yang Xuemei, Deputy Director of the Party-Mass Workstation at Longsheng Industrial Park, delivered a summarizing speech. First, she fully praised our branch for its well-organized and effective organizational life meeting, noting that the session was thoroughly prepared, with content that was accurate, rigorous, and comprehensive—truly in line with established guidelines. She highlighted how the meeting successfully achieved its intended purpose: encouraging open self-reflection, prompting each party member to identify their own shortcomings, formulate targeted improvement measures, and apply these insights to their personal thoughts and professional practices. This process not only fosters self-education, self-improvement, and self-perfection but also helps party members transform weaknesses into strengths, ultimately strengthening their Party spirit. Second, she urged all party members to intensify their study of political theory, enhancing their ideological and moral cultivation by making full use of the "Study China" learning platform to deepen their understanding of Party-building theories and stay informed about national current affairs and political developments.Finally, she emphasized that the Party branch should strike a balanced approach between Party building and the company’s business growth, firmly adhering to the guiding principle of "focusing on the core mission through Party building, and leveraging strong Party leadership to drive enterprise development." By positioning Party building as a key "engine" propelling corporate progress, the branch can ensure that all aspects of work are elevated in quality and accelerated in pace, ultimately contributing to the company’s sustained success and growth.
