On November 30, 2021, Chairman Bai Xianhong attended the commemorative event honoring Castro and the "Fidel and Biotechnology Seminar," hosted by the Cuban Embassy.
This year marks the fifth anniversary of the passing of Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro on November 25. To honor his remarkable and inspiring life, the Cuban Embassy held a special commemorative ceremony. Comrade Fidel Castro was the founder of Cuba’s Communist Party and the Cuban socialist cause, as well as a towering leader beloved by the Cuban people. He dedicated his entire life to the noble mission of guiding the Cuban nation toward national liberation, safeguarding its sovereignty, and building socialism—achieving extraordinary historical accomplishments for the Cuban people and making significant contributions to the global development of socialism.
Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro was a leader with profound political vision and exceptional charisma. In the 1980s, Cuba mobilized the entire nation to vigorously develop biopharmaceutical technologies, establishing more than 30 biotechnology development institutions in the West Havana Science and Technology Park—laying the solid foundation for Cuba’s biotech advancement. Today, after over four decades of growth, Cuba has risen to become a global frontrunner in fields such as antibodies, vaccines, and genetic engineering.
At the seminar, Chairman Bai Xianhong delivered a speech on behalf of the company and was awarded the "China-Cuba Diplomatic Relations 60th Anniversary Medal" and the "China-Cuba Diplomatic Relations 60th Anniversary Certificate of Honor."
