On September 7, 2023, Biotech Pharma Chairman Bai Xianhong was awarded the "Carlos Finlay" Prize by the Cuban government.

The "Carlos Finlay" Award was established on January 21, 1928, and is named after the Cuban physician and scientist Carlos Finlay, honoring his groundbreaking contributions to yellow fever research. Nominated by Cuba’s Council of State, the Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment, the Minister of Public Health, the Minister of Higher Education, or the President of the Cuban Academy of Sciences, the award is presented by the Cuban government to experts who have made outstanding contributions to both natural and social sciences. Bai Xianhong, Chairman of the Board, is the first Chinese expert to receive the prestigious "Carlos Finlay" Award.

Chairman Bai Xianhong and Executive Deputy General Manager He Lihua also received the Outstanding Contribution Award from Cuba’s Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Industry Group.
