10 Month 15 The 11th meeting of the China-Cuba Intergovernmental Commission on Science and Technology Cooperation was successfully held in Beijing recently. Lu Ming, member of the Party Leadership Group at China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, co-chaired the meeting alongside Armando Rodríguez Batista, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology, and Environment of Cuba. Also attending were representatives such as the Deputy Director-General of the Department of Policy, Regulations, and Innovation System Building at China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, and Miguel Ángel Ramírez Ramos, Ambassador of Cuba to China. 20 Others attended the meeting. Bai Xianhong, Chairman of Biotech Pharma, was invited to participate and delivered a report at the event on the progress of Sino-Cuban biomedical cooperation.
Medieval Both sides expressed satisfaction with the outcomes of the China-Cuba Joint Commission on Science and Technology Cooperation, as well as the current state of Sino-Cuban innovation collaboration. They also engaged in policy discussions on areas such as scientific innovation, China's high-tech zones, and the development of Cuban science parks. The meeting explored future collaborative approaches and areas where China and Cuba can jointly provide support. Moving forward, both countries will further strengthen exchanges of scientific and technological personnel, actively promoting and implementing the China-Latin America Science and Technology Partnership Program and the China-Latin America Young Scientists Exchange Program.
